My Great Step up!!!

This week for writing we were writing about our Recount. How year 7s had a step up program and year 8s went to camp. We are explaining our moments we had different types of moments. What I learned use the TREE in you writing some times. Tree = what is the tittle of you writing, Reveal = Who was involved?,Where did it happen?, Why did it happen?,  How did you get there?. Events = What Happen?
Ending = How dose your story end. Finale Thought. End

Morning Team Buliding

OUR AMAZING TEAM BUILDING :

GREAT START TO THE MORNING!!!. When our team was join together we had to come up with a name and the name we came up with was Churries also a chant that went with our name. Me and my team called Churrie had a lot of fun for the past 2 days and it was so amazing but all things must come to an end. Had a great morning today loved it, year 8 are gone to camp and years 7 lead the way best 2 day I have had in my life and today is the finally day. Miss the year 8 though. For our last day Team building started so great in the morning three teams vs each other.

Churrie vs. Fobalicious vs. Munchies, stack cup challenge Munchies came 1st, Churrie came 2nd and Fobalicious came 3rd.   My first activity Truffle making with miss Ilaoa cooking was amazing I loved we had some much fun heard heaps of laughing. Our second activity was art with Mr Slade how we had to make quotes post and our last activity for Churries was Team Building with Miss Judd how we used spaghetti and marshmallow to see who can make the highest tower and now we will make the most of our learning today, Year 8 are coming back and can't wait to see them again. Our teachers today deserve a big thank for coming up with this plan for us to enjoy.

And the thing I have been noticing about all the activity we've been to , we all have been learning about team work and engorging each other. When we work together it makes a better team=)

My first truffle cooking at school

Today was an amazing day we got to make some Delicious Truffle. We also had groups I was in Group 2 with Faousio, Siokita, Kerstein and Sheena.

Here are the ingredients we used to make our Truffle and how to make it:

Ingredients:

• 1 x super wine biscuits
• 1 x Can condensed milk
• 1/4 cup Coco
• 3/4 cup Choc Chips
• 1 cup Desiccated
• A bowl 
• Measuring cups
• Spoons                                  

How to make Truffle:

1. Crush your packet of super wine biscuits
2. Sift 1/4 cup of coco into a bowl
3. Gently mix the super wine biscuits and coco together
4. Add 3/4 cup of choc chip 
5. Add 1 cup of desiccated coconut
6. Gently mix
7. Pour in a whole can of condensed milk ( mix as you go)
8. Make small truffle balls then roll it on a plate of desiccated coconut 
9. Store in fridge overnight
10. Pack Truffle ball in to a cellophane bag and tie it up with a ribbon.

And here what our group end up with at the end. Wow can't wait to taste them.

Statistical Investigation

This Week we are learning about Statistical Investigation. Were its the time to be a data detective. I have used the PPDAC= Problem. Plan, Data, Analysis and Conclusion. Hope you like it.

Simple, Compond and Complex sentences

This week for Writing we did simple compound and complex sentences join together. We are also learning about each of them so when we make our sentences we can understand.

Term2 -Now That's Thinking

A fresh start to Term 2, nice to be back with all my sisters and brother.

What I'm looking forward to this year is Term is a lot of things but the one I am looking forward to is improving my writing skill in Literacy. Another thing that I'm looking forward to math I have this feeling that I need to improve a little bit more on my math skills like my times table.
