Maths - Square Root
Math's - Square Root
A square root is a number which is multiplied by it self
Example:
√5 = 25 because the this: √ represents this: x which is times.
But the number which is five you times that number by itself so it
goes like 5 x 5 = 25. See!
But the number which is five you times that number by itself so it
goes like 5 x 5 = 25. See!
Here are some others Me, Jayde, Penny and Kei worked on.
√1 = 1: 1 x 1 = 1
√2 = 4: 2 x 2 = 4
√3 = 9: 3 x 3 = 9
√4 = 16: 4 x 4 = 16
√5 = 25: 5 x 5 = 25
√6 = 36: 6 x 6 = 36
√7 = 49: 7 x 7 = 49
√8 = 64: 8 x 8 = 64
√9 = 81: 9 x 9 = 81
√10 = 100: 10 x 10 = 100
√11 = 121: 11 x 11 = 121
√12 = 144: 12 x 12 = 144
And that's all!, maybe you can try on making your own!!

Test done and dusted
Malo elelie, Its Leilani here For this weeks maths Tapawha my group have done a test called the IKAN test.
Our last IKAN test was last term with the whole class and we had to do it on Miss Tele'a screen and so we took another IKAN test to see if we could do better this term than last term.
What was different about this years IKAN test was we had to do it on our own Chromebook and we also had some headphones so we could here it clearly. Another thing that was different about this term IKAN test was we could do it twice if we wanted to. I relaxed when I had done the test and ended with a positive although it kind of stressed me out on the last question.
Then Tomorrow ( Which is today). We got to look back at out IKAN test Result. I felt so great actually I felt proud I actually did better this time. This was great news then we looked at the answer sheet to see what we got right and what we got wrong, We would put a tick if we got the question right, If we got the question wrong but when knew that answer we would put a circle around it and put a tick on the side. If we got it wrong then we put a cross but right a the right answer.
I did so much better this time, I am on stage 6 & 5. I would do better next time on Place Value and I remember next time to taumafai againe.

We're making clay pizza
My class mates and I were making fraction pizza out of clay. It was fun. We were talking about what toppings we were going to put on and who we were going to share the pizza with. When we made our pizza, we had to make sure that me and my buddy had the same amount of topping when we cut the pizzas into quarters, thirds and halves. That's what we're up to with our maths.
