Friendship: Poem
Friendship.
that is trusted and true
The one that you could talk to
When you're feeling blue
You have a friend in me
Yes it’s true
You don’t want to say much
you think I might expose you
A friend that understands
What you’re going through
But don’t say anything
That makes your friend look blue Written by: Daliz and Leilani

Poem: I love Fridays - Leilani
Fridays are the best!
As a kid in my opinion
Friday always leads me
To smile like this minion.
Why do I love Fridays?
Well here's a reason why
Fridays sometimes tend to say
To all those hard work bye, bye.
To all those people who think
Fridays are the worst
Maybe you should think about Monday
And think about all that hard work?

I'm telling on you on - KPE by Leilani and Chastyti
Podcasting by Leilani and Chastyti.
Nau mai, Haere mai Ki KPE …. You’re listening to Korero Pt England,
coming to you from Auckland New Zealand.
My name is Chastyti and I’m in Year 7 at Pt England School. Joining me today is
Leilani and she’s here to tell us about a book she has been reading.
KIA Ora Leilani
KIA Ora Chastyti
That looks like an interesting book. What have you been reading?
Well this book is called I’m Telling On You which is written by Sandy McKay
and Illustrated by Tervor Pye.
That sounds like a amazing story. So what is it about
Well this story is about a boy named Timothy who is the
eldest child by 2 years, 3 months and 16 days. He also lives
with his 2 younger siblings and his mum and dad. He says that
his younger sister always gets away with blue murder if it wasn’t
for her big brother.
What!! blue murder. What’s ‘ Blue murder ’ is it someone who murders people in blue?
No actually. It’s when someone screams, yells or complains in a very unnecessary and
loud way.
She must be spoiled then. Anyway carry on with the story.
Well One day Timothy was at school get ready for class.
Then the principal Mr Eccles arrived in class, with a angry
face. He shouts “ Someone in this school has been writing
graffiti on the toilet walls”. Then everybody gets scared.
Did the graffiti writer get caught?
Yes he did but… Oh no I forgot to tell you
in the beginning that Timothy has 4 favourites words.
His favourite words are ‘ I’m Telling On You ’.
Hmm? That’s funny because that’s what the book is called.
Oh now I get it. Carry on with the story.
Well as you might know already, Timothy used his 4 favourite words,
‘ I’m Telling on you ’ against the graffiti writer?.
Does Timothy ever get is favourite words used up against him?
Well that is the next part in the story, but I’m sorry Chastyti you
will have to read the rest of the book, to find out what will happen
next. Also if you will like to read this book you can find it online or
in a nearby library. This has been Leilani and Chastyti podcasting
I’m telling on you written by Sandy McKay and Illustrated by Trevor Pye.
For now Kakete Ano.

Now let me pause for a moment and just say that there's going to be a lot of cameras flashing at me and at all my friends as well.
First let me introduce myself, Hi my name is Lani, the year right now is 2026 and today is a very important day, So like I’m in a hurry so bear with me please. (Parking my car right now) so in 2026 a lot has changed in New Zealand right now I’m in the city and…. Lani, Lani, LANI hurry up… Oh sorry that's Mia calling me right now be right back!.......Okay as I was saying before, a lot has changed in New Zealand like teacher finally got better education and teachers striking dropped but the government let the teachers have a week off and now we drink water that’s pink? I know crazy right!!!. Anyways…..I have to go in and get ready right now

And as she said those words I cried my tears pouring out, she said stop crying your gonna ruin your makeup, I thanked my mum for everything she did! She always been by my side until this very day and I’m so lucky to have her. As I said
I go into the Auckland.U and the ceremony starts!, and the doors open, my whole family and friend start taking picture of and tagging me in there Instagram (hopefully!). I walk through the door lined up!, and as my turn came I went on stage took a deep breath and started my speech. I shared some great memories I had with my friend and how the bad thing turn into good things, I also told some embarrassing stuff me and my friends did and then every cheered for me as I grabbed my certificate with pride and heading off stage happy as ever my mum gave me a hug and I was so happy.
So now you know. Today is the day that I graduated University, Well you can go off now my future is waiting for me. Then we turned around looking proud at my parents and then throw my hat to them.

Kau tae te wa - ITS TIME!
First time in 24 years, the day has finally come for teacher to go on strike, now whats teacher striking you say?, well it all happens in just one day where teacher go on strike to get kids better education and get paid more higher. Teacher wants kids in there class to have the education they deserve. Fact: Teachers payment get higher little by little every year. Here’s 3 reason of why Teachers go on strike.
Here a point why teacher go on strike, to give more time to teach. See teachers. Teachers say that if they write more reports for the kids then they will have less time to teach kids so like for example: Teacher could get 100% of their work done and teaching as well. But then teacher get 70% of their report done and only have 30% time to teach. So teachers want less reports and more time to teach. If they have less paperwork then kids these days could have a more and better education for themselves.
Another thing that teacher are striking for is “Resourcing for additional needs” You might be thinking what does that mean?. Well you know how us kids are still in school? We have teachers to teach us but we need equipment to work with or to write down our learning. So like if your teacher is telling you the math question and you need to solve it, What are you going to work on? Also like our Chromebooks that we use in school or like how I’m using right now, we need these things for our learning. Just like if someone was deaf you need sign to teach them and you need equipment like paper and pen to show them what you're talking about. Teacher are just asking for more resources for children's to learn better.
And lastly. I think something that all teacher are striking for is “Better pay”. It won’t be attractive to people want to become teachers when they look at the how much teachers get paid. So teacher are asking the government for better payment as teacher!
I think that this teacher striking on Wednesday is amazing, this teaches us younger kids to when we grow up older in the future we should stand up for what's right!.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEACHER!!! Who are going on strike we know your doing this for the future so us children will be standing by your side supporting you just like this Writing!!. ITS TIME!!!!!

Writing: My steps to a Fun Holiday
My step to a Fun holiday
Are you one of those people, who think on the last day of Term your holidays going to be amazing and then.. You end up waking up at 7:30 for no reason, until you realize that you have nothing at all to do. When surprisingly three going to four days, and still have nothing to do. Well I know what it take to have a fun weekend let me tell you.
1) So the first thing to having a fun weekend is planning it out. This is important because some people are like “ Let’s do this” and then “Let’s do that” when you have like 100 thing’s in you head and you only do like three or two so the important thing is to plan it out, I know sometimes going freestyle is a good idea and is much easier. But when you plan things out, everything seems to go alright and you have enough time to do it all in one day.
2) When you done doing that, think of some fun activities, what could you do, where could you go and do you think that this is a good place that everyone would like. If you going out with your family ask what they might want to do and so everyone and get what they want, start with the little ones because there always the picky ones unless you have siblings younger than you.
3) Next thing is you should start packing, this is important so you have what you need when you going out. Packing food is very important you never know when you can get hunger or when other can. Also if your going out camping remember to bring important things like Sleeping bags and water bottle and matches, first aid - kit. Packing is important because you never know what could happen at any time of the day.
4) Last of all, have fun and enjoy your time. The holidays are the perfect time of the year - everyone gets a days off from their hard work even kids!. Enjoy every second in the holiday while it last.
So there you have it!, planning very important, finding fun activities to do so you can have some fun, also don’t forget to pack before you head out and MOST IMPORTANTLY!, have fun!. So these are my steps to having a fun holiday. Now go on!, go and have some fun.
